What is PRP?
PRP contains growth factors which stimulate the body to repair and restore tissues using the body’s own natural processes. With this technique, you can rejuvenate the skin by isolating elements from the blood which can then be injected below wrinkles, folds and even acne scars.

Does PRP help with Scars?
Facial scars are difficult to treat but with PRP we are seeing a great improvement. Other types of scarring such as Stretch marks and surgical scars are also seeing improvement but further improvement can be achieved when PRP is combined with laser peels such as Erbium or CO2 lasers.
When can I expect to see results from PRP?
The response to this treatment is over time and will require a series of micro-needling treatments for optimal results. Patients are seeing results within 2-3 days from the first treatments, but some patients are usually underwhelmed after the first couple treatments, but after about three treatments they are seeing the results, pleased with the minimal down time following a treatment and very eager to proceed. Texture, pore size, fine laxity improve first and fastest. Deeper lines, acne scars and scars, in general, take more treatments and more time.
Will PRP help with the hollowing under eyes?
PRP therapy definitely works beautifully in early cases of mid-facial flattening as it restores volume by regeneration and tightening of tissues. In the more severe cases with extremely obvious loss of volume the PRP therapy coupled with deep dermal fillers like Restylane, and Belotaro. The benefit of such a combination would be that the dermal filler provides an instant lift and the PRP provides the slow and steady permanent regeneration. The PRP therapy is done first and the dermal filler about 3 weeks after the PRP procedure.
